Information Skills Training

Library staff offer one-to-one or group training to develop your search skills, help you find and critically appraise evidence faster, and manage references and citations more easily.

See the courses available here, and also teach yourself resources for self-study.

Info Skills Training

We offer a blend of on-site and online scheduled teaching sessions.

On-site teaching takes place in our dedicated room at the library or in one of the Postgraduate Rooms in the Post Graduate Centre. Teaching is carried out by different members of staff depending on the topic.

Places are limited due to social-distancing guidance, but you can also access these sessions online if preferred.

Access to online sessions uses tools such as MS teams, WebEx, Zoom. You will be contacted with more details when you book onto a specific session.

Contact trust.library@nhs.net if you have any queries.

Sessions and booking

Use the menu to browse our courses and book on a session, or Book a librarian for one of our offered training courses, or any other modified or tailored training based on what you need, with our Book a librarian form.

Sessions tailored to your profession

We can tailor our sessions to suit the needs of particular professional groups and teams, for example managers, nurses, doctors, health professionals or administrative staff.

Contact trust.library@nhs.net for further information.
